Sunset

My idea for this is an adapted version similar to the works of Mark Rothko, using simple colours set out in lines. i have tried to digitalise this concept by presenting the viewer with a black screen, when they then move their mouse over the screen they create and control the colours that are produced.

this is a screenshot of one of the row. The motion tween along the top, allows the bar to smoothly fade from one colour to another(left), by ajusting the RGB settings (right)

the origional version was with small squares that was meant to follow the mouse, but i found this was much less consistent in that there are lots of big gaps in the trail(unless you move the mouse REALLY slowly), much more demanding for the computer (so compromised the frame rate)and also it strayed too far from Mark Rothko, here is v1.2:

this is a version where each line starts its change again from the beginning when the mouse goes over it (v2.0)

I didn't like this because it made it difficult to make use of all the strips and exagerated the movement of the mouse too much
so...
after I fixed that(v2.5):
